Specials at local bars include college night, karaoke
There are a lot of bars in Pueblo, but not many people know the schedules for their specials and entertainment. Three fun and exciting bars include Andy McCarthy’s, The Riverside and Showtime.

‘Scaling Routine’ exhibit runs Nov. 8-Dec. 5
The Fine Art Gallery at CSU-Pueblo invites you to an opening reception for an exhibit highlighting the transcendent qualities of accumulated labor and daily routine. On display, historical Native American textiles from the Orman Collection and contemporary works by Jennifer Reifsneider and Christine Marie Davis.

Contest to decide new fight song
With the re-introduction of several new sports in 2008 and following the university’s name change in 2003, the university is seeking a fight song to call its own.

Thunderwolves raise $834 for Orchard of Hope Foundation
The lady Thunderwolves volleyball team experienced some disappointment from their losses this past weekend.
In their last home tournament of the season the women lost three of the four matches against Ft. Lewis and three of the five matches against Mesa State College. -
Education reform discussion comes to campus
Pueblo area residents are invited to attend a discussion on education reform, Conversation 2007: Shaping Educational Excellence in Colorado, with Rep. Buffie McFayden at CSU-Pueblo on Nov. 8 from 6-8 p.m. The event will take place in Hoag Hall.

Math learning center aides thousands of students
While the Math Learning Center has had more than 4,800 visits from students this semester, its fate is unclear for spring. Recently, Math Learning Center Director Mary Middleton was informed that there may be funding issues concerning the center, but that administration was working on the problem.

Student organizations benefit local children
Two student organizations at CSU-Pueblo hope to benefit children in the community through separate book, toy and clothing drives throughout the month of November to benefit the Child Advocacy Center and the YWCA.Members of the President’s Leadership Program will accept new or used books and toys in good condition from Oct. 15-Nov. 29.
