Enthusiasm was high during the Thursday night practice of the Thunderwolf cheerleaders.
The team is composed of five men and 17 women. The team captain Laurie Pierce is aided by her co-captains Matt Lamunyan, Amy Maldonado and Krystal Doyle.
Coaching the team this year is Michelle Mohnhaupt. She is the returning coach from last year.

CSU-Pueblo has placed their geology gem collection at the Steelworks Museum of Industry and Culture, located at 215 Canal Street.
On Oct. 3, the university unveiled the collection in a press conference and later that day, held a reception for public viewing.

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Department was called out early Monday morning to investigate a bomb threat at CSU-Pueblo.
Just before 9 a.m. the main phone line of the university library received a call stating there is a bomb placed in an unspecified location on campus.

The highlight of this year’s homecoming week was the Mr. and Ms. CSU-Pueblo contest held last month.
Orlando White, 22, a pre-MBA major, was crowned Mr. CSU-Pueblo and Amanda Cristelli, a 20-year-old political science major, was crowned Ms. CSU-Pueblo at the swing dance on Wednesday, Oct. 20.
