In an effort to raise awareness about the dangers of alcohol and hazing among our youth, students are encouraged to participate in the second annual National GordieDay from 10 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24 at Colorado State University-Pueblo, said Stephanie Arellano, CSU-Pueblo alcohol and other drug education program coordinator.

Hasan School of Business offers MBA

The Hasan School of Business has expanded the opportunity for Colorado State University-Pueblo students to get a Master of Business Administration degree.
The program is aimed at part-time students who are also working professionals. Students enrolled in the MBA program may take one course at a time, and the 36 hours of coursework can be completed in as little as two years.

Colorado State University-Pueblo’s Admissions and Records Office advises students of their rights to their education records within the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act.

Colorado State University-Pueblo has over 5,000 students enrolled this fall for the first time in 25 years.
Lopez said the gross full-time enrollment increased more than 11.8 percent from fall 2007 to about 4,200 students, and the overall headcount also increased by 9.6 percent to 5,051 students from 4,610 in fall 2007.
The number of new freshman has also increased from 1,033 in fall 2008 to 1,054 in fall 2009, Joe Marshall, the assistant vice president for enrollment management, said.

Sean: It was crazy. You grow up here—listening to the radio and falling asleep with the radio—just driving in your car and realizing.
You almost want to roll down the windows and yell at the other car and be like, “Yo! I’m on the radio.”
It’s really cool. Then after the millionth time—you just want to break your radio. No—just jokin’. It’s awesome. Being from the hometown and hearing it there—it’s so humbling. It’s really cool.
