Starbucks takes over campus coffee establishments

Associated Students’ Government confirms new justices and directors

  The Colorado State University-Pueblo Associated Students’ Government held their first open senate meeting Tuesday, Aug. 26. Several new justices and directors were elected by senate vote. Acting Chief Justice, Jibrail Dibble, administered the oath of office for justices Gene Wilson and Sundeep Pendyala, as well as directors Jim Wiley, Phill Padilla and Toni Ousley. Wilson, a junior at CSU-Pueblo, is majoring in political science and Spanish and plans to attend law school after graduation. Fiesta Queen, Andrea Casados, visits with the REV89 crew at the Colorado State Fair. Colorado State University-Pueblo student Andrea Casados has overcome adversity to become local royalty. The sophomore political science major was crowned Fiesta Queen in July and will be participating in a slew of events this weekend at the Colorado State Fair. New assistant coach, Michaela Breit   Greeley, Colorado native, Michaela Breit, has joined the Thunderwolf women's golf team as the assistant coach. Breit is a recent graduate of CSU Pueblo, earning her bachelor’s degree in business management and marketing, but she isn’t finished yet.  She is continuing with the 3+2 program to get her master’s degree. The Colorado State University-Pueblo’s Office of Student Engagement and Leadership held “Guy Court” on Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, at 7 p.m. in Hoag Hall. Remembering and rebuilding at the Royal Gorge

  A Little History      Beginning as just a city park in 1906, the Royal Gorge, with its mountainous terrain and beautiful geological rock formations, was deeded to the town of Canon City to be used for picnicking which was very popular with families in the 1930s and 40s. The Colorado State University-Pueblo Foundation has chosen four new board members and a chairman to serve the university's fundraising arm, which is responsible for the "On the Move" campaign which will bring Occhiato University Center upgrades, six new sports set to debut this semester and more scholarship money to the university.
