ThunderWolf running back coach retires

After a seven-year career as a football coach at Colorado State University-Pueblo, Steve Sewell has retired following the team’s national championship season. The running back coach and ex-Denver Bronco boasts more than 35 years of football knowledge. It’s this experience that will be absent from the future of ThunderWolf football as he retires from the program. Civil War enthusiasts bring living history to CSU-Pueblo

A living history event commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Civil War took place on the CSU-Pueblo campus Wednesday featuring participants from reenactment units based in New Mexico and Colorado. The participants portrayed civilians of the period and soldiers from the Union and Confederate armies. They demonstrated weapons fire and blacksmithing, played music from the 1800s, and displayed period dress and other historical items.  CSU-Pueblo students and faculty attended the event as well as K-12 students from the Pueblo community. Distinguished Speaker Series to feature Coach Ken Carter

Coach Ken Carter Former high school basketball coach Ken Carter will be featured in Colorado State University-Pueblo’s Distinguished Speaker Series Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Occhiato University Center Ballroom. Carter coached basketball for more than 15 years and has inspired many young individuals to reach their fullest potential. He made headlines for locking his entire undefeated basketball team out of the school gym at Richmond High School in 1999 because of poor academic results and broken behavioral contracts.
