The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference has announced that CSU-Pueblo junior and number-two singles player, Beau Fresquez, has been selected as the RMAC Men’s Tennis Player of the Week.
Metro State is considered one of the top teams in the country, coming into this weekend’s four-game set with the Pack ranked 13th in the country. But with an 8-6 win over the Pack Sunday, the ThunderWolves tried not to make excuses as their losing streak extended to 11.
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The ThunderWolves’ offense was in high-octane overdrive Sunday, putting together 33 hits during the day’s doubleheader with Mesa State. But lackluster pitching, fielding, and late-inning heroics by the Mavericks led to a four-game sweep for Mesa State.
Thursday night was long for the CSU-Pueblo softball team. Their van broke down 80 miles outside of Kearney, Neb. Thursday, forcing them to forego their scheduled Thursday night game and sit idle for around eight hours waiting for the van to get serviced.
