21 questions for “The Jackal” and “Primetime”

“The Jackal” and “Primetime” are two radio jockeys on The Revolution/Rev89. These guys have one of the hottest afternoon drive time shows on the air and always give the listener something to talk about.

For those of you wanting more of “The Jackal” and “Primetime,” here are 21 questions that may help you get to know them a lot better!

1.) Your on-air names are “The Jackal” and “Primetime. What are your real names?

“Jackal” – My real name is Todd, Todd Anderson.
“Primetime” - My real name is Chris Garcia.

2.) How old are you?

J- 21
P - 20

3.) What year are you in school?

J and P-We’re both juniors.

4.) What is your major? Emphasis?

J and P-Were both Mass Communications majors with an emphasis in broadcast.

5.) Where are you from?

J-I’m from Limon, CO
P- I’m from P-Town.

6.) What do your on-air names mean?

J and P-They don’t really mean anything, we were just both kind of messing around one day, and throwing around what started out as dumb names, and those two stuck.

7.) Why didn’t you use your real names?

J and P-We just decided it would be more fun to use nicknames.

8.) What is your favorite part of being an on-air personality?

J and P-We think it’s just fun to mess around and talk to our listeners.

9.) How did you come up with your song, “Leanin in Pueblo?” Who was the “master mind” that came up with the lyrics and the beat?

J-Well Primetime has to take the credit for that one, it was a collaborative idea, but the actual writing came from prime…we recorded it together and had a really good time with it

10.) You have performed your song, “Leanin in Pueblo.” When and where did this take place?

J and P-Yes we have, we performed it at the “What the Streets Created” tour, and will be performing again at “The Winter Takeover Fest.”

11.) When and where is this future performance?

J and P- “The Winter Takeover Fest” is on November 24th at the State Fair Events Center.

12.) What was your favorite part of performing?

J and P- The rush you get by being in front of a crowd is the best part.

13.) What other types of events have you attended? What did you do at these events?

J and P-We do a lot of live remotes, and do sidelines a lot at football games and such, nothing to big though.

14.) What do you plan on doing/want to do after you graduate?

J and P-We both would like to pursue careers in radio actually, and maybe go somewhere as a team.

15.) What is your favorite song?

J and P- Actually we both love other music than we play on Rev, but on Rev right now we both really enjoy “I’m So Hood” by Dj Khaled. It’s a really up-beat and exciting song.

16.) What is your favorite movie?

J-I really enjoy a lot of movies, but “The Pick of Destiny” is one of my favs.
P-There’s way too many to pick one!

17.) Who’s your favorite musical artist?

J- Ween, you probably haven’t heard of them.
P- On Rev, I am a big fan of Lupe Fiasco right now.

18.) Who’s you favorite actor or actress?

J-I enjoy that unforgivable guy.
P-I really enjoy Mel Gibson, but again I think there are way too many great actors to pick just one.

19.) When are you on the air?

J and P-Everyday from 3-6

20.) Describe your self in one word!

J-Bad
P-Ass

21.) Do you have any advice for people who might think about being an on-air personality on the radio?

J and P-Give it a try, you never know until you do, and have fun with it. We have the best job in the world, and you can to!!!
