Three bars offer drink specials

November 9th, 2007 by Today Staff

There are a lot of high energy bars in Pueblo where the atmosphere is loud and entertaining. These places may be perfect for beer drinkers and crazy “partiers” that enjoy a good time.

For some people who may not like the party environment, a low key environment may be a better choice and may also be more enjoyable and relaxing.

Three bars with a low key but entertaining environment are The Downtown Bar, The Shamrock Brewing Company and Spectator’s.

The Downtown Bar is located in downtown Pueblo at 103 Central Plaza, and it is closed on Sunday and Monday.  This bar is perfect for people who enjoy going out and listening to live music, having a few drinks and enjoying art.

Tuesday night, after 9 p.m., is open mic night. Anyone interested can come and perform their music of choice.

Wednesday nights always have live music and a band.

Friday nights are the openings of the art shows. Once every couple months artists are highlighted and their work can be seen here, as well as purchased. The openings are held every couple months.

From 4-7 p.m., everyday it’s “Happy Hour” which includes specials on four different cock tails, which vary from month-to-month.

The Shamrock Brewing Company, which is also a restaurant, is located at 108 West 3rd Street. Here, they brew all of their beers on location, as well as have infused alcohols may times per month.

The Shamrock Brewing Company is the perfect place for the “lover” of dark, fresh, homemade beers and special brews, as well as Irish style food and great appetizers, such as their potato dishes.

They have great deals and special prices for their beers and drinks Monday through Sunday, as well as beer samplers that include their homemade brews.

You can also get your beer infused with flavors of other, more potent beers.

Sunday night is SIN night (Service Industry Night), which means that if you are employed at local restaurants or hotels and you bring in your check stubs, you’ll get special discounts.

Pints of beer are $3.75 and bottles are $3.75.

“The Sampler,” which includes 25 ounces of beer, is only $5.

“Happy Hour” is Monday through Friday, from 3-6 p.m. and includes $2 pints of beer and half price appetizers.

Spectator’s, which is located on Jerry Murphy, is a Pueblo, home-town, traditional bar and grill with great karaoke nights and tasty food and appetizers.

Sunday and Thursday are karaoke nights and are perfect for amateur karaoke singers.  These nights are action packed, and there are always a good amount of people attending.

“Happy Hour” is every day, from 4-7 p.m., and beers are $2.25 a piece.
