Author to speak at Steelworks Museum
September 17th, 2007 by Soledad SandovalOn Sept. 27, 2007, The Steelworks Museum of Industry and Culture will host guest speaker Dean Saitta, professor of anthropology at the University of Denver and co-director of the Colorado Coal field War Archaeological Project.
The event will open with a light dinner at 6 p.m. Cost for the dinner is $10 for members of the Bessemer Historical Society, and $15 for non-members.
At 7 p.m., the author will speak about events surrounding the 1913-14 Colorado Coal Field War and the Ludlow Massacre in the Steelworks Museum’s Bessemer community room.
A book signing will follow. There is no charge for the lecture and seating is limited to 60. RSVP for the dinner and lecture by Sept. 24 at 5 p.m. by calling 564-5533.
