Pulera addresses Pakistanis’ role in upcoming lecture
September 15th, 2007 by CSU-Pueblo External AffairsAn internationally recognized expert on race, culture, and diversity, will address diaspora, Pakistanis’ vital role in the development of Pakistan’s economic development on Sept. 26 at CSU-Pueblo.
Dominic Pulera will present “Making It Happen: The Overseas Pakistanis, Pakistan’s Next Generation, and Success in a Global Economy” as part of the Hasan School of Business Distinguished Speakers Series beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 26, in the Hasan Auditorium.
Refreshments will be provided immediately after the lecture. The event is open to the public at no charge, but reservations to 719-549-2142 are encouraged.
Pulera will address the success of Pakistani-Americans; Americans’ views of international trade, Americans’ views of the world in the post 9/11 era, the linkages of overseas Pakistanis with Pakistan and some reflections on Pakistan’s image abroad and how it affects the efforts to attract greater amounts of tourism and foreign direct investment to Pakistan.
Pulera is a member of the Academy of Political Science, the Southern Political Science Association, the Western Political Science Association, and the American Academy of Political and Social Science.
His writings include three works of nonfiction: “Visible Differences,” “Sharing the Dream,” and “Green White and Red.”
Pulera also is the owner of Pulera International, an independent consulting firm that helps businesses improve workforce productivity, increase sales and enhance public image.
