Hot hues and styles for a cool fall
October 11th, 2007 by Farah PikeThe weather is cooling down, but the fashion for the season is still heating up. Several styles are coming together to create a new and unique style made for every woman.
For the chilly weather, wearing a bright and fun color like fuchsia is a definite must.
According to www.net-a-reporter.com women should think pink for this season in particular. Raspberry hues are some of the best and most flattering colors to choose, and to pair with a darker color like navy blue or grey accents. Ladies daring to be seen for the season are encouraged to wear this color for accessories as well.
Another hot color on the fall palette is orange. Believe it or not, orange has been constantly returning to the professional runway of fashion. This fiery color can set ablaze to a chilly fall. Try this color in hand bags, belts or even a bold tunic or sweater.
If bright pinks and fiery oranges are too much for the modern woman, there are other options that will keep the season sizzling hot.
Fashion is flourishing and blooming a new fall shade of violets and purples. Plum dresses with grey accessories are in for fall and shoes in regal purples are also trendy and stylish. If the attitude is right, women are encouraged to be sassy in their footwear and show off grape patent shoe boots.
In addition, red is a must in every woman’s wardrobe. Apple red hand bags and ankle boots are on the mark for this fall. Red ankle boots pair well with denim pencil skirts worn with bold opaque pantyhose. More fun options for red apparel are wool jackets with bold brassy buttons.
Finally, for the cautious woman, black is back for fall, but with limitation so that it does not overshadow the bright possibilities of fall. Of course, “the little black dress” should always be in stock in the closet, but there are more accessory options available for the everyday woman. Basic black leather gloves are a great pair with crop-sleeved coats and sweaters. Also, black beaded jewelry is a perfect accent to almost any outfit for fall. The best jewelry accessories are those that are vintage and less flashy like most modern pieces tend to be.
Other fashions that are applicable to all fall colors are making their way across the runway, as well as local department stores.
Mid-length dresses that accent a woman’s silhouette are perfect for daywear and a night out. These dresses are easy to accessorize and transition from day to night. Fancy belts with rhinestone embellishments and intricate design are easy additions for a quick nighttime ensemble.
Another day and night outfit is a skirt suit. These classy two-piece ensembles are put-together well and work for a professional occasion as well as a social gathering. A clean-cut blazer and pleated skirt are a perfect match for any event. A belt can also be used to accentuate the waist and add an additional flare to the overall look.
Whether a bright color or a bold style, fall is far from freezing out a sizzling new look!
