Alumni baseball weekend held Oct 13

The CSU-Pueblo baseball program will be hosting the 15th Annual Alumni Baseball Weekend on Friday, October 12, and Saturday, October 13. The two-day event will be packed with fundraisers and special events.
Friday will be filled by the CSU-Pueblo Alumni Baseball Golf Tournament. The tourney will take place starting at 1 p.m. at the Walking Stick Golf Course just behind the CSU-Pueblo campus.

The format of the tournament will be a best ball scramble with two different flights and four-person teams.

The cost to compete in the tournament is $70 per player, and lunch and awards will be included in the festivities.

Saturday will feature the “Blue vs. Red Pack Baseball Game” at 8 a.m. and the “Alumni Baseball Game” at 1 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., the Alumni Baseball Banquet will take place at la Renaissance, 217 E. Routt Ave. in Pueblo.

“The ‘Pack’ is extremely proud of their rich tradition of excellence,” baseball coach Stan Sanchez said. “We encourage all alumni baseball players to take part in this exciting weekend.”
