Pack lose in three games to unbeaten Mavs


CSU-Pueblo volleyball team continued their losing streak to the 5-0 Mesa State Mavericks at Massari Arena, 22-25, 20-25 and 18-25.The Pack played a secure game battling for every point, but just lagging slightly to the Mavericks in every game.

With 10 blocks, Maverick Lindsey Jefferson was an effective wall.

Alea Wildman ( Fr.,Commerce City, Colo) cranked nine kills for the Pack, but didn’t match up to the hitting power of the Mavericks. Alisan Tompkins had 9 kills for the Mavericks and Corinne Cascioppo had 10.

“The team is in need of win to build their confidence level,” Coach Jonson said.

“We are improving everyday and learning to execute and I am proud of the young girls; they are really showing a lot of promise for the future,” Jonson said.
