ASG discusses the week’s issues at meeting

Nate Duncan was approved as Vice President for Legislative Affairs at the beginning of the weekly Colorado State University Pueblo Associated Students’ Government meeting held on Jan. 20, 2009.

Sen. Adam Martin resigned as Senator of Student Activities, but said he would still like to be active in ASG as Senator as SOF. Martin was then elected to Sen. of Student Organization Financing.

Angelina Perez talked about why she wanted to be the Senator of CHASS. Tyler Herbst then talked about why he wanted to become Senator of Greek Life and Luke Arledge talked about why he wanted to be on the Election Committee.

Both Perez and Herbst were then elected to be the senator of CHASS and senator of Greek Life by a 2/3 vote.

Posters about running for an ASG office were to be posted on Jan. 20. Students are encouraged to run for an office and to vote in the ASG elections. The goal for total votes this year is 1,000.

Current ASG openings that are also paid positions are two senators of CSM, Senator of Student Activities and two student Court Justices. You can apply for these positions online on the CSU-Pueblo website under the ASG tab.
