The announcement was made via email Nov. 1, by interim President Julio Leon.

Kreminski will take over the position from outgoing interim provost Peter Dorhout, who will become Kansas State University’s Dean of Arts and Sciences in January 2012. Dorhout served as the university’s provost since March and will continue to fulfill his duties until the end of the fall semester.

In the meantime, Kreminski will continue to serve as dean of the CSM. However, even though Kreminski will not start the position until mid-December, he will begin working with Dorhout and the president’s cabinet immediately so he will be able to better assist incoming president Lesley Di Mare, who will begin her duties Dec. 1, Leon said.
